Families

Students stay with Irish families in the Bishopstown and Ballincollig areas and are, therefore, close to the school. By living with Irish families, students are given an insight into Irish family life and are stimulated into speaking English in the home.

If students have particular preferences, such as wanting the children of the Irish
family to be roughly their age, then we try to match these preferences as best we can with our resources.

Typical houses where students stay are illustrated below. Most houses in the area are either semi-detached or detached.

All of the accommodation is located either within walking distance of the school or within a 15 minute bus journey from the school.
